Im having a look on the Dimes site to see what I can find. But you could always try running a virtual machine and running windows within linux.

a virtual-maschine needs much of ram and cpu... and i only have 850/256 :(
this is not an alternative, but maybe i will put it on my little backup-server for 2 or 3 weeks!

Try this

Found it here:

If it works I will add to my first post to get to top of sticky.

Thanks! I was planning to install DIMES on all of the systems at work. Unfortunately, our network kept bumping it off of my main workstations when I was testing it out, even after configuring the proxy. Therefore, I can only run it on my system at home. :(
I'll get it up on my parents' rig the next time I drive out to see them. Sorry I couldn't be of much help for this project.

I added a client to the team.
I have some questions however, forgive me if they seem a little negative, they are not, I just want definitive answers.
I followed the project and ended up back at Evergrow. Is this shaping up to be data that is working to build the basis of a private commercial enterprise? I couldn't find anything anwhere about this science being freely available or shared among universities etc...
Evergrow comes across like a commercial enterprise in it's management structure and frankly I don't really feel like coughing up bandwidth so someone can make a few bucks by reselling the data. It states that it is funded by the EU but states no ORGANIZATIONAL goals for itself. If this is to become a private venture I'd like to know.
Any ideas?

I've been running my clients purely for the fun competetive nature of it and tried over and over again not to think too hard about the project's objectives (cuz when I do it bothers me on certain aspects).
If you think about what the agent is doing, some people might consider this project to be large scale espionage, and could possibly be used for very malicious purposes. I've always considered an IP to be a number on the door. I treat breaking and entering of IPs the same I would someones home. I may walk across your driveway to take a short cut to my friend's house, but if you don't want me on your property, I happily oblige and take the long way. I understand the agents we run to be essentially footprinting and documenting the internet geographically, identifying key crossing points and unique network segments which could be made targets for any number of attacks or hacks.
To the best of my knowledge this project is driven almost completely out of Israel with the exception of a couple of chinese computer scientist collaborators. Its public/private components and direction are cloudy at best. Since when are they a part of the EU? Their soccer team (and other athletics/academics) considers themselves a part of europe yet technically its the middle east? That always confused me
