Good evening. I know this guy selling his Mach 1 for 359. He says it uses the same compressor as the Mach 2 GT. Also he upgraded the gas to R507A. Is this a good deal?

IF he knows what he was doing when regassing the unit id sayyes 350 is a decent price. how old is the unit and will he back the unit up as far as being in good working condition? also might want to ask him if he did anything to the cap tube when he regassed the unit cause if im not mistaken you need to make the cap tube longer when you go to r507a?? i could be wrong but im sure its what needs to be done... well good luck man.

Alright, Ill ask him. He said the compressor works good. says he gets -20C under full load. with a Prescott 3ghz OCed to 4.2ghz. under no load he said he gets about -30C.
Im still pretty new to phase-change. not sure if this is good or not.

peace perc,
Think Mach I can be gassed w/ 507 w/ no captube adjustments
with R507 and mach compressor(NL11F) you normaly get at least -40 if the mod was done properly.

If he gets -30*C unloaded with R507, that prommie must be overcharged a bit ;) ..

overcharged, So not really worth it? or is it easy to fix that?

if it is overcharged is very easy to fix. You just let some liguid out from the system(with the system off!). But you must know what are you doing..With the 507 the prommie doesnt need the cap tube mod . With 404 it does.

@ crmaris:
You're sure? :hmm:
Because in my opinion R507 is almost the same as R404a, so when the mach
doesn't need the cap-tube mod with R507, I think that it is also NOT necessary with R404a! ;)
@ arisythila:
It's easy to fix but I think it would be good if you have a manometer! ;)
So you can control, how much liquid "escapes" from the system!

R507 is the same as R404a but 507 NOT contain that little sip of R134a which 404a has ...
Look at that prommie when it's running with load- if the compressor is frosted near suction it's overcharged - it is extremly easy to fix ;) ..you just need to free some refrigerant out ..but gauges is trully helpful in that causes :fact: .

I woudlnt recomend just letting some random ammount of gas out, especially if you have no way to recharge it.
It might be that he is using a claibrated probe rather than the (very innacurate IMO) thermomiter on the prommy itself.

Alright. Ill give it a whirl. Is it hard to mod the Mach 1's to get colder?
