Has anyone figured out the clock steppings for the GT yet? Anandtech found their card only hit 477 and that's where they stopped. My XFX Overclocked came today and right now it's at 520, just wondering if I should push higher or where these steppings are without spending a few hours running benches. If not I guess I'll be the first.

Not every card is the same so I would just put in the grunt work and figure out where the ceiling is yourself.

No I'm not talking about my Max OC, I'm taking how the GPU scales. The GT/GTXs don't jump in performance till they hit a certain point.

From the article:

"We didn't see any jump in framerate between 472MHz/473MHz as we did with the GTX; instead, jumps occurred between 461MHz/462MHz and 477MHz/478MHz. We will be looking into this more closely in the next 7800 GT article, and hopefully, we can shed some more light on NVIDIA's frequency selection issues."

Guessing here, but maybe it has to do with the variable clocks the chip uses.

A less presice chip is cheaper, lowering (Really? 500$ is lower? Good one NV) the price.

Unfortunatly I don't have a card to test the steps.
