View Full Version : How much is a used vapochill PE worth?
hey i've got a deal going down for a vapochill PE used system, it does'nt have a fitting kit, so i'll need to buy one. the guy is asking 170 pounds for it (about 313 dollars), is it a good price?
i wouldn't pay that kind of money for a PE.
I have seen Mach1's on sale for as low as 370 dollar in the for sale section here!
That only a couple bucks more and a lot more performance
unfortunately i cant get into the sale forums so i would'nt know :p:

ANY Of the Danfoss BD35F and BD50F powerd vapo's arent worth any more then about $100 and that's a unit in PRIME shape,there just no strong enuff to do anything any more....i used to buy them for $60 used and make gpu cooler's,...now there even to weak to cool a good gpu...

zub in about 1 1/2 months my mach1 will be awesome, thanks to chilly1, BBMods and m0p's grandad, I will post pics of the finished unit on here soon and you can make me an offer if you want :)
PS: DON'T buy that vapo, as BB says, they suck balls! although I want one of these 12vdc pressors, To make a cooler for a socket A box i will keep for some time.

its a good price in the uk that, i bought my mach 1 for £275, this was in 2003, i then sold it for the same after about a year of use, phase seems alot cheaper in the us, you wont find a better price in the uk i'm pretty sure
that is so depressing to hear......

I found one here for 260 shipped, What temps would it hold (idle/load) with a Venice @ 1.5v @ 2860? I could also keep
What would it hold on a 6600GT (idle/load)?
I'm gonna either drop the 200ish on water cooling, or for a little more I can get this, which will I'm hoping would give me slightly lower temps. It is modded with the LS clamshell.
Last question, it seems that it is designed for the top of the case, would there be a problem taking it out and mounting it on a platform and running it along side in a caseless setup?

Yea it's pretty good, I threw a Zalman Vf-700 on there, but the oc'ability didn't move, I might try reseating when i do the vmods tomorrow. I'm hoping to hit 650/1337 (just cuz :)) with air. Also hoping for 700+ with water or phase.
looks like you got a good card there, is your ram running at 252MHz or 2 x 252MHz?

I need to update that, right now I'm at 10x286 @1.5v with a 5/6 divider, I was having instablity before. So the ram is now at 238MHz (DDR476)@3.2v. But that is now with one stick. I had one BH-5 and one CH-5 Twinmos SP, but the CH-5 died and was RMA'd. But the day before it got there, newegg removed the ram from there inventory and refunded my credit card :(
i see, i'm currently running my Corsair XMS at 480MHz with timings 3-3-3-7, i know the timings suck, but i seem to get instability issues if i try tighter timings.

I dont get the pe's and stuff for $60 all the time but for most of the time that's what i pay,i have a few of the unit's to my self and i also have some moded one's that do ok :)

Yea, I'd like to see those pics. What type of mods can you do to them?
