I just noticed that everytime i scroll down a page on the inet i hear a quiet scratching noise. Just found out that this is a mousescroll bug with the 6800U mainly with the 7800gtx cards. To get rid of it you just have to go to the IE options-advanced and disable the optimized screenrun(don´t know how it´s exactly called in english)

It's probably rapidly switching the graphics card from 2D to 3D modes. It's trying to get processing assitance from the card so there's no lag, but because the Geforce actually switches voltages and draws alot more current in 3D mode it creates a noise from that rapid switching. (I'll bet you hear the noise very breifly when you first start a game too)

It's not really a problem though, it's saving electricity when you don't need the power.

ya i heard it on my 6800 too!
it seems like that causes web pages to load slower

right now im using a 9600xt still does it

i think the noises come from the caps of your mobo or your psu
