Desktop Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 Processor on 90nm Process in the 775-Land Package, PCN 105271-00, FFF, Enhanced Memory 64 Technology E-0 to G-1 core stepping conversion
The Desktop Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 processors on 90 nm process in the 775-land package will undergo changes for the E-0 with Enhanced Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) to the G-1 core processor stepping change.

Apparently, there's a new G1 stepping for the E0 processors. I hope this is an improvement. This would be for the 5x1 series of processors with E0 Stepping and EM64T (521J, 531J, 541J...etc). http://developer.intel.com/design/pcn/processors/

looks like their just adding the 2 final amd64 instructions, so not likely to be a major difference, unless your using winxp64 and software using the instructions. although the missing 3.6 and 3.8ghz processors may suggest that the 5 series is being shifted downmarket in favour of the 6 series.

the 5 series is being shifted downmarket in favour of the 6 series.

Seems that way...especially since Intel's 65nm line will start with the CedarMill as a 6xx series processor.
