I have ordered a new AGP card in place of my 'old' FX5700LE, which should arrive early next week.

I ordered the Radeon X850 XT PE (AGP), and wondered if there would be any point overclocking it?

Will it be able to play most games with the setttings up fully, without o/c; and what would be the benefits of o/c (if any?).

I am a noob with grfx cards, hence this post.

Thx

You can play all the games with x850xt pe with stock clocks.
Overclocking is just fun and it's nice to see some "free" fps. :)

Ok, thanks.

So how would I go about overclocking it?

download a program called "ati tool"
and install and run

When I had my 9800 Pro I used Radlinker (http://www28.brinkster.com/chrisww1942/). Nice little program to overclock, uses no resources and will actually hold a clock. I did use ATi Tool too but mostly just to let it detect the max core and memory speeds.

Ok, thanks.

Which one of the 2 is better?

i prefer radlinker, ati tool is nice but i feel like it killed my card.
