Well I went out of town to go visit family for the holidays. I get back and it turns out some of my folders went down but they are back up now. I'm still trying to get my university to allow me to install FAH on all the computers available but I haven't written out the proposal. I can't figure out how to make them understand that I'm not a hacker. If I could get the computers at school that would add at least another 1000 folders.

Nah, I just had some random reboots but my keyboard wasn't plugged in so the comp never booted into windows :(. Anyway, I'm back and got a few more rigs. Anyone want to help on the proposal to ,y school that helps to explain what FAH is cause at this point they just think I'm a hacker.

I have the same problem, i'm trying to let college allow me to install f@h on their BACKUP server. Its onyl 1 machine but its a dualie Xeon 2.4Ghz i think.

They want a full written proposal about the software and everything, but why?!

Cause there are hackers that have used other computers for their purposes. If they don't know what the program is then they won't allow it until they know. Also if the program were to mess the computer up it wouldn't be good since my university is funded by the state.

Thanks N8. I hope to get a few more rigs up cause so far I haven't been able to use a few due to lack of hardrives but now I'm gonna go linux and boot from network.

WB Chong, are you familiar with Linux? I'm wanting to figure out how to network boot w/ windows, just not enough time to play around with it when I keep coming across older rigs where I can gut them out and reuse their hdd's, cdroms, floppies, etc... and that's much quicker for me to get another folder running compared to the time it would take a moron like me to figure out the network booting thing;)
If I can come across another older rig like that, I'll keep you in mind:)

This is how I'm going to do it. Luckily the author of the article is actually gonna be here to help.
