I am aiming at a Venice A64 3+ I wanted to know what I should target for my compressor? I have a few items in mind but I don't want to flog my electrical bill for nothing, I won't be taking this system beyond its current processor so if I can shave it as efficient as possible I would be very happy.
Any help is appreciated.
A 1/3hp will be sufficient, i guess :)

efficient as possible
You trade effciency for temps. Probably a 1/5 or 1/4 would be a good idea. A venice isn't going to need massive capacity anyway.

This raises another question. - If I was to go with a cascade setup could two smaller compressors do the job of one or better? The reason I ask is that I have two refrigerated water coolers at my disposition. I don't know the specs on them, but the compressors are larger than I had imagined. Possibly 1/10HP each.
They are identical and so I wondered if there was anything they could be used for in the area of phase change cooling was concered.

Two 1/10 HP will make a good 2 stage vacuum pump in series but not enough for a cascade system (unless you want a 20 watt cascade LOL). Try to build couple single stager first before you think about cascade thingie.
BTW. 1/4HP would be fine for a good working single stager

or just use a 1/2hp compressor witch you can later on use for the low stage of your cascade.

Okay I'll target a 1/5 if I can't find one I'll go for a 1/4HP - I'm planning an intergrated system so I small and as efficient is my goal, if I can attain 0 on the die under load I will be very happy.
