What's your condensing pressure at with R-507/402a ? :)

Can't help you with flashing, bro :(

You just use flashing utility from nVentive.. Through USB connection it has... On my Mach 2 I had, I just flashed using mach 2 firmware which runs fan a little faster to deal with added heat to condensor. (about same other than original mach II unit one... so difference is default fan speed)

I cant find the utility! looked all over for it with no luck :(, Pressure is 175psi at the dryer, best load temp is at 3psia with the compressor in it's "happy" zone.I think ill grab a 1/3 or 1/2hp danfoss to stick in here, maby even a 1/3hp copeland since this danfoss is only like 1/5hp?

Original mach compressor? They are 1/4 HP. And hold extremely well. What gas you using. 175 PSI might be at upper limit :P Send me your e-mail linky as I should have all those mach related firmware in my local drive :P

It's there now, as they're a licenced reseller, they supply software too :)

Read above,507/402a mix 90/10 175 is in a ok spot for this mix and compressor, the pressure drop's to 160 after the unit is up and running with the fan's on high(had to put a panaflow on condensor due to stock 1 not running fast enuff)

Nice setup.

175psi seems a bit low on teh high-side to me?

BTW, cool power supply.

You prob know this already, but gotta ask - You're not using the stock temp sensor right? Cuz if you are, then it's waaaaay off ;) Here's mine on my unmodified (gas) mach2:

Lol damn and I thought motherboard temp sensors were way off..

Actually I think recent NF4 mobo temp sensors are quite good contrary to what many believe. Very consistant result I think. Considering most embadded temp sensors now a day can read well down to -50c... I can't see why it would be as bad as some people mentions. I just think we just would like to see lower temperature in general heh. (Oh, and it doesn't read heatspreader temp from what I can see. It reads something a little bit further in core. Not sure exactly where of course. I usually see HS to core temp diff of about 8-10c anyway. (Think the reason we get such a drop with HS removal on A64)

Dont think it reads temps under the heat spreader, and Im speaking for motherboards in general not just the NF4 mobos, of course with time technology gets better, but the only way to get an truely accurate temp reading is with an external probe.

-> My point exactly though :) You need to get the probe right on core. Heatspreader temp doesn't tell you too much once you get down to -20c or so from what I can see under extreme heat load.
You shove 1.3v in dual core x2 and evap temp and cpu temp (actual reading) under dual prime 95 will be off by few degree.
You shove 1.5v in dual core x2 and evap temp and cpu temp will be off by about 10c.
You shove 1.65v in dual core x2 and evap temp and cpu temp will be off by about 20-30c.
(under idle, not much diff only during load)
Explaination for symptons:
1) The heatspreader just is not efficient at this point for transferring heat. In fact, I am guessing the thermal paste used probably can't handle this extreme temperatures and stop working as efficiently.
2) Caliberation of temp probe inside core some how is thrown off by extra voltage. One strange thing is... unless load is applied, such sympton doesn't appear to happen.

Nice... coldest temp I've seen on modified mach II was -74c too. (sensor moved closer to front of evap but for just running it with nothing on, I can't see why it would be any diff :P)

Depends...

There's a firmware version for FX cpu's and then the latest for all others, so if you're FX, that one, and if not, just the latest non-FX.

No idea why the FX firmware is different, but it is.

Just see the link up there and download the one you need.

GT kit (http://www.snt-systems.com/Uploader/uploads/gt firmware kit2.rar)

This is all the software needed to turn a normal mach 2 into a mach2 gt (software wise anyway's)

Just a confirming pic of the mach2 sitting alone with no usb interface at all to influence the firmware and display..the GT firmware is now a sucess :)

I'm going to give away my Promy for a mod, hope for such temps also.

Will be regased with R507a and should look like this when finished:

Cuz the face of the evap will always be the coldest ;)

I just flashed your modded GT firmware BB mod's, nice work! I can make my fans at 2200 rpm now instead of 2100. That is like a 2C improvement or something. Thanks :D

Edit: Stephen, how the hell did you break your display, or did you just set that in the control centre

It's about time Frank....soon I'll have a 507'd mach2 as well :woot: (If somebody would actually get on the ball and send me the 507 they've been promising for the last couple of weeks ;) Now why do you always have to copy me? :p:

Hehehe....it's not broken. It just gave me that borked message somewhere in between -69 and -71. There was a crazier one that appeared right before it, but I didn't have enough time to snap a pic of it. :p:

Ok a guide to the upgrade will be posted now

1st thing you have to do is shut down the mach unit monitoring software, just exit it out, then open the folder and find the MCC file, copy and past it to your "C:\Program Files\nVENTIV\Mach II" folder overwriting the old file.

2nd go back to the folder u downloaded from me,run the BootLoad.exe file, flash the firmware with the file provided in the kit, reboot and reinstall your driver's for the mach2 they can be found in the same folder that u put the new MCC file into.reboot the computer and enjoy :)

Plese post any ill effect's from this mod and rest asure u can allway's reflash to the stock mach 2 firmware any time u wish.

Beat this :p:

http://www.haeg.demon.nl/GoT/cascade%20prom%20013.jpg

Done by HAEG with a cascade mounted to the prommy evap. He was just testing the Mach II sensor. -88 is the max it can display. Anything colder will result in a FAIL SENSOR error :)

The only mod I did to my Mach II was changing the USB connector to a normal male connector instead of the thing that fits on the pins on your mobo.

This made it very easy to run the control panel software on my laptop during benching :)

:D SRY, no pic but running fine. Flashed without any probs and now front fan is doin' 2,210 rpm max and rear fan 2,110 rpm max.

Winning ~ 2°C. ;) Nice work !!!

Ill beat -88 with my newest firmware that ill insure to be right within +-1*c! and ill be testing the probe on a -130*c cascade...if it passes then we are in good shape.ight guy's get back to overclocking,i got to go tune this a64 sitting frozen beside me.

EDIT:: The new firmware will make use of a K type probe and some special tuneing, ill have a real "kit" ready for sale soon i hope, will include 3 K probe's and software on a CD.The stock probe wont be acurate enuff for this new mod..so for a few $$ u gain real time temp's and more peace of mind :)
