Looks like suction line with 3/8" Cap on or 1/4" NPT cap on until the evap assembly is screwed in to me. Now I wonder if he threaded evap side too to get the fitting through...

i insulate the service port cause some times when i am filling the system i am having little condesation there. by the way it is more beautifull and the armaflex is chip. :)

Wow, it was service port? :P (showing my noobiness) Where is the suctionline... and how did you assemble it? Screw fitting works with the PSI threaded method? I just never saw people doing it before really and curious as that might be my preferred method if it is possible.

it doesnt matter using the service port or the succion line...

I think that suction port differs from service port cause this last one has direct access to compressor's carter.
Can someone confirm this, if they are different or not?

Both are the same.

If we're talking from function side, then yes, both of suction ports are same

But, not always those ports have the same dimensions, there are models, where one suction port is larger than second

I always like to ask this question... what evap are you using?

Unseen, can you tell me, what are temperatures at desuperheater's inlet and outlet?
