Hello! I've written long ago that I'm from Poland and I have problems with English :D I've been in Canada this year and i bought prometeia mach 2 with modification on European voltage. Now I'm waiting for delivery my x2 3800+. Today I wanted to test my cooling system without a cpu...I turned it on and I waited maybe 5 minutes and i touched this copper thing witch should be freezed but it wasn't. Connected was only prometeia, nothing else(no motherboard, no power supply)... What happened??? Maybe it have broken in my bag??? What should I do now???

You're going to need to hook up a power supply, and 'jump' it so it's on. you have to plug a molex into the prommie and when you do, that's when the prommie will fire up.

The prommie needs the power signal from the power supply to work.

I don't know if you know how to make a psu work without hooking it up to a motherboard, but all you have to do is put a piece of wire between the 3rd and fourth pins from the top left of the main(20pin) plug, when looking at the plug's face with the locking tab up.

When you plug in the prommie, I assume the green light is on at the back? Are you using an inverter/transformer to give you 220v for it(you said european model)? If you've got the green light, you just need the molex connected to an active psu.

molex and case is connected, but psu not....i bought it in kit-tronics.com and a could choose a voltage version... this green light is light up and fail, light up and fail,..... :P when I hit power button on case lighting up is orange and is still lighting, but green is light up and fail, light up and fail, light up and fail(I don't know how to say it in English :P)....

Just to be sure, you bought the mach2 in Canada or europe? Is ti definitely a 110v or 220v version?

You have the psu on for sure right?

If you have a 220v mach2 and you've got it plugged into 110v mains power it won't work either.

i'm sure that it's european version...100%...it will work or no??

If it's a european version, which is for 220v power, then it WON'T work in Canada or USA due to the power being 110V.

There should be a tag on the back saying if it's 110v or 220v but if you take off the side panel, there's a tag on the side of the compressor which will tell you if it's a 110v or 220v version.

If you find that it's a 220v compressor, then the only way you'll be able to get it to work in canada is if you get an electrician to wire in a 220v plug for you to use it with, and make sure it's only the Mach2 you use on it, as anything else could be damaged.

Cheers

There is a sticker "220-240V 50Hz" but now I'm in Poland and i only want to know that if I connect everything that will work??? now I don't have cpu to this motherboard...

Oh right I thought you were still in Canada.

As long as you've got power to that molex with a PSU that you KNOW will work 'jumped' (some need a mobo attached to work properly) then the Mach2 should work as normal, just with an error on the front saying 'No Shut Down'

If it won't start up, then try another PSU. If that don't work, there might be more problems with it, and it'd be a good idea if you know anyone who's worked with one before to check it for you and see if there's something you've missed, or if it's definitely broken.
