Need help on Abit AS8 and P4 630.

today just bought these two babies, but after install them, they refuse to work.

when I power on the system, the screen will show Abit Engineering and uGuru logo. and there is a line says " press TAB to show post screen or press DEL to enter bios setup", then it will auto re-boot. I can do nothing with it. press Tab or Del no use at all. it just keep post and re-boot if i don't power off it.

anyone has any suggestion on this?

I had the same problem... The solution was to update the BIOS to one the supports the 600 series. Problem is, you need to get a CPU older than E0/N0-stepping if you can't get past that screen :(

try clearing the cmos!

my as8 started randomly bluescreening, and hardlock, turned out it was the onboard sound :/
