I posted this in my chiller section thread also but most of the experts in phase change hang out over here. Chilly has helped me on this alot, as he does anyone else around here that asks. Just wanted to give him props, and to get advice from anyone else in the know.

I took some measurements for everyone to see. I still don't have my motherboard box ready so I can't put a load on it yet. This is just an initial test run to get it as cold as I can while I wait to finish everything else.
1/3hp Tecumseh condensing unit
R404
All readings in Celsius
Ambient = 25.6
Evap = -17.7
Suction temp 6" from compressor = 0
Txv = -14
Bulb = -23
Dryer in and out = 34
Condensor line in = 65
Condensor line out = 35
Compressor top = 51
Compressor bottom = 48
Low Side = 14psi
High Side = 240psi
Superheat = 23 (Was trying to get maximum cold with capacity a non issue. I can adjust the txv back down to 8 with the turn of a screw)
Sub Cooling = 12

I would appreciate any advice that would improve temps further. I fear I may need a 1hp compressor to reach my desired temps and capacity. I can allways use the 1/3 for my first direct die, and I have almost everything needed to do so.
