Well, somebody told me to download ATI TOOL to help overclock my BBA X700pro 256mb. I did it, but now I am having second thoughts because over-clocking voids warrantly so it is a risk and I might want to reurn the card..I am just trying it out. I'm going to only overclock when I have a video card that is staying with me. I need help, how do I make it back to default settings using ATI TOOL or any other program..! If something wrong happens to my video card, will ATI figure out it has been overclocked?

They can't tell if you have overclocked the card.

All the overclocks set in ATI tool are automatically set back to defaults when you reboot, unless you save them with the save button. :)

to de-clock all u gotta do is click on defaults. i take it you havnt overclocked it yet. Because it always reverts to stock. everytime u restart windows you have to open it up manually and load up the overclocked settings. and ati cant find out.

XS does not tolerate discussion of fooling manufacturers into rmaing you stuff that you oced. If you overclock it 1mhz your warranty is void.

Well, I created a seperate profile in ATI TOOL with my overclock settings in it. So you're saying when I restart my computer, all settings will be normal? Or is it when I exit the Program? Just incase I have to return the card, All I have to click is DEFUALTS and it'll go back to normal?

Yep. That'll return it to normal. :)

And whoever said the card needed to be returned just yet? :p:

Is it worth it to upgrade to a 6600gt? Is it that much of a difference? I don't play Doom 3...All I play is Sims 2, BF2, Counter Strike/Source, and Half Life 2.

What is a good temperatue for a video card to be on? Mine right now is 52 but it could go up to 70 C! Is that bad?

52 for aircooling is pretty good, but you should test it under load.
