I have a chance to trade my 640 for a 560 non-j. Will my oc be limited because of this or should I go for it. I really want to hit 4.4 and my 640 can only get to 4.1 no matter how much vcore I throw at it. Ive tried 1.65 and still nothing for 24/7 stability. What do you guys think?

The "J" is for the newer revison of the Prescott core's. It adds Execute Disable Bit and C1E, which is like EIST. 560 (non-J) @ 4.4 should be easy. I have a 540 (non-J) and I got it upto 3.8 but I haven't had that much time to play around with, but I'm sure I can hit 4.0. If going 640 to 560 just because you want to hit 4.4, it doesn't sound like a bad idea but more of a time consuming. I'd say leave it alone, it's plenty enough with 4.0GHZ.

If you're overclocking and no luck with so much vCore, I'd guess your PSU is weak? RAM does not live up to it? Processor cooling solution can't keep up? and so on........

The ram is gold rev.2 ocz ddr500 but I can't get 24/7 use at anything past 255 fsb. I was under the impression that ram could hold up past 260 atleast but nonetheless could be my problem. Temps are great at 47 max load @4.1 1.6v so I dont think thats a problem. Maybe my 875P-T doesnt like the high fsb?

Rams not the problem cause I ran a divder and it still fails at 255. Damn thought this setup would do much better:(

Like you said, it could be your mobo, chipset drivers, BIOS upto date, capacitor overheating....God knows what else.

When it comes to mad overclocking, I'd say an ASUS or ABIT. Personally, I've never own a DFI and I'll never. The first DFI board I used for set-up had very poor support and it was returned for a Gigabyte. MSI & DFI = JUNK in my book.
