Hello gang.
For gaming/overclocking and general performance, I have the option to choose between the following 2 CPU's (or whatever else I find):
- 3500+ Venice; LBBLE 0517 APOW
- 3700+ San Diego; CABGE 0517 UPBW [I'd like to get a San diego though]
Which do you figure will give me the better overclock? I'm thinking that unless I find a nice early week CABHE SanDy, the venice will overclock a little better to compensate for the lack of cache.
This link: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...&item=219&num=5 seems to indicate a small but measurable difference between V&SD cores.
Overclock results from:
- http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=888001
- http://www.cpudatabase.com/index.cfm?Action=search [search 3500+ and 3700+]
- The CABHE stepping for SD seems to be great
- There is also an exact match for the 3500+ Venice in the CPUdatabase which hit 2806@1.47v (but I can't verify that this is stable or anything...) -There are similar chips here at XS forums for the venice.
I'm looking for a Gem of a chip, I'd prefer a San Diego really...Anyone wanna sell me a great San Diego or even a Venice? :D
Any advice?
Thanks for any info
