scenario:
2 SATA HDs (each Hitachi 7k50 160gb) in raid 0
1 old HD with my old XP install
Symantec Ghost to copy old XP install from HD 3 to HDs 1/2 in Raid0.
* can i setup a BOOTABLE Raid0 array with SATA ?
* can i ( after i set up a new bootable raid0 sata array) use Ghost and image/copy my XP install over to Raid and then still able to boot ? Or would the imaging overwrite something and then i cant boot ?
[looking for easiest way to setup RAID0 on sata and get my old data over there]
I also heard about problems with cluster sizes (eg. anything else than the 4k standard) with a slip-streamed XP (SP2) disk.....how does it look when i ghost an old XP install over ? I probably want a cluster size of 16k.
Otherwise i have all necessary tools like paritionmagic etc....but for some reason i fear ghosting my old XP installm over to a new Raid 0 (sata), BOOTABLE and 16k clustersize means A LOT OF TROUBLE coming up...
