1022 mb? Shouldn't it be 1024 mb?

I have 2x512mb G.Skill DDR 550 LE's on a NFI Lan Party SLI-DR with 3200+ Venice. In windows xp in system's property only 1022 mb is being reported and the same goes in dxdiag? What happen to the other 2 mbs and should I worry about this? Thanks in advance for the help.

In CPU-Z it gets reported as 1024 mb is it just a bug in windows?

well the memory is definitely PHYSICALLY there, it's just that windows can't use it... I would suggest the memory space is being mapped to something else (common enough) and that it is no cause for any kind of concern. To know exactly what it is, I'd need complete specs of your system and all the BIOS screenies, not that it would gain you anything at all...except 2 megs..that RAM might be consumed as shadow memory or something else for BIOS devices... I am not sure what is using that space...
