Yes, I spied with my little eye on ebay a 5 x 120mm single pass rad going for 5 dollars, when I was about to bid, they guy closed the auction as someone must have bought it directly from him...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7992378728&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1

Its 27" long, 5" wide, and 2" thick. So with a shroud it would be teh insaneity. Now I'm jumping around ebay trying to find em for this cheap, but I'm only seeing this from cars around 150+$. Anyone seen these, anyone have these? Anyone know what to search on ebay to find these?

Heat exchanger pulls up a few $300' ones,
And Lighnting Exchanger pulls up 2 expensive ones as well..

What sorta core is this?!

I can't find em. :( And I want it. :)
But wouldnt that be a great rad? The pa160 is great and its single pass and takes a 160 or a 120mm fan, this would be like... insane...

Where would you put it?

And being that it's from a Cobra, I'm guessing it aint cheap. They were just selling it cheap because they replaced it with something better.

is it made from copper or al ?
either way id say you need some serious tec action on cpu and 2gpus to put that rad to good use.
otherwise something like a bix3 will be more than sufficient.

Now that is what I'd call future proof.

Even with the way heat keeps building it will be a few years before any home puter could challange that things capacity.

As I understand it HW labs should be releasing a new line up of rads soon. A single pass X3 with lower fin density to allow better air side performance should do great. I'd suggest you hang on for those new rads release rather than buy the present BIX rads or Thermochill ones. IMO we're about to see a uptick in rads built for PC performance pretty soon & they should handle anything anyone needs them to for some time.

Even with the way heat keeps building it will be a few years before any home puter could challange that things capacity. Due to the higher air side resistence of a 2" thick core however I'd use 4 fans with it to allow each fan to draw through a bit larger area of the core. Would really own though.

It would fit on the side panel vertically of my full tower I'd geuss.... or take up the entire front... :) I would probably use it with 5 fans on it, 3 running all the time, and 2 for switching on to lower temps during benching or crap... And if I got it I would use tons of tec's everywere I coudl.... 600w from wintsch on cpu, 320's on the gpu's, 80' on the nb..... :)

These things can be had all day long on Lightning And Mustang F/S Forums for about $25. Many people replace with alumn. The only downside is they have a pet:banana::banana::banana::banana: youre going to have to deal with. I guess you could screw in a thermal sensor and take temps from the core if you so desire. These things are pretty long btw.

EDIT

One other things, these are using 3/4 - 7/8" line on the barbs.
