I'm using the new dividers (233 07/06 ratio ddr466) on 704-2BT Bios for the rev E chips. My HTT is set at 255. Does anybody know a utility that will correctly read my memory speed? CPU-Z is blank and clockgen shows -1. This gives me a great performance boost, but i don't know what my memory is actually running at. Thanks

hey nugzo i belive it works like this your 11x255 so a 1:1 ratio is a divider of 11 so the ratios are 10 or 9 i think the 7/6 ddr466 uses 9 so .. 11x255=2805 / 9 = 311mhz ram speed i think. i know how to do this with the dividers going down but up it is different but i think im right. its either that or 2805/10 so ram speed 280 because it has to be either divider 10 or 9 the next ones higher then 11 "the multi for 1:1 operation as long if your using that as your cpu multi as well?

hey nugzo do a quick test run sandra mem bench at your current speed 255x11 with the up divider then do a 280x10 and the memory score should be almost the same. if the 10x280 is lower then try 9x311 and use some more chipset volts to stabilize the htt and your bandwidth should be the same so you can figure it out that way!

Here are some Benchmarks. The only thing i did is change from 200=RAM/FSB:01/01 to 233=RAM/FSB:07/06. This is a nice performance increase.

Why don't you run 280x10? It's essentially the same thing just a faster HTT.

I wish i could. for some reason i cant finish 32m at 280*10. 100% stable at 255*11.

yeah it often goes like that, the mem controller gets weaker at higher frequencies or something..frustrating

his memory is at the same speed tho

it must be his board or cpu not liking all that htt speed so with this ratio he can have high memory speed which matters and low htt wich doesnt matter much

Yeah, me thinks his board can't run an LDT of much greater than 1000...255x4 fits well, but 280x4 doesn't. 280x3 is too slow (though not noticible in reality).

What about this formula ?

233 setting :memory divider = cpu multi -1
250 setting :memory divider = cpu multi -2

255x11 = 2805Mhz CPU
2805/10 = 280,8Mhz memory
or

255x11 = 2805Mhz CPU
2805/9 = 311,7Mhz

I use 280x3. If LDT is over 1020 or so i drop to x3 multi. doesnt help tho.
Since 2800mhz is my cpu max, 2750 will be my new 24-7 settings. 275*10(2750) works as well as 250*11(2750) I'm gonna do some tests at 275*10 and 250*11 with 07/06 ratio. Still no software to read correct memory speed when using the new dividers? Theres gotta be something. :confused:

I'll be watching to see what you come up with on these dividers.

I too flashed to the 704-2BT bios yesterday, but had to flash back because it wouldn't clock near as high as previous bios for me.

Antec p-160. Windowed side panel seperate. Best case i've ever owned. I love everything about it. (except the blurry side panel plexiglass. production issue antec is working on atm. i removed the glass from the side panel. I'm fine with that. better cooling)

:nono: :slapass: :fact: Back on topic. Anybody else mess with these dividers? have any stories good or bad?

I've got 3 rigs with P160's, very good case I like them alot ! I don't have the clear side panel like yours though. They look pretty :D especially on top of a LS or with Exos ! lol

Sooooo 255*11 07/06 is 280 memory?

I've tried ALL the bios' post 310 and I keep going back to 310............It offers me 100% Prime95, OCCT, 3DMark(s) stability on my 4000+ San Diego at HTT255x11 4x512 at 1:1 2.5-3-3-11. None of the others besides 510-fix come close.
