I got 15926 3Dmarks in 3Dmark2001 with this:

Pentium D 3.0ghz
2gig ddr400
Asus 6600GT 128mb pci-e

Is this good/bad?

Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers for you motherboard. I would also check to make sure you have AA and AF off.

My old P4 2.4B @ 2.8 w/ a 9800 Pro was hitting 18K.

bad things....my old 2.8 and 9800pro hit ~20k

Ok, I'll tell him. It might've been running at 1280x1024 though, but I'm not sure. Damn it, I didn't have time to check everything while I was setting it up...

Ok, got to 16900 by changing the ram settings... still bad?

yep....that card should be pulling 25K at a minimum....

Damn then I have a problem, my A64 @ 2300 with a 6800nu only hits 21.5K.
