I'm looking at the Silverstone TJ-05 case for my latest water-cooled rig. It's cheap and big and has lots of features I like.

Something I'm waffling on though, is whether or not to spend the extra $20 and get the little "thermal module", which is basically a nicely integrated 3-fan fan controller...

But, as I'm probably going to be wanting to control 4 fans...and as such, I'll probably want to get some separate fan monitoring device..........hmmm....

Any suggestions? Just spend the $20 to get it now builtin, or wait and pay, what, $60 for a separate fan monitor?

Anyone used this case in particular?

I've got the one with the thermal controller and i don't use it b/c my fans are on high all the time. You might find it useful though. One thing to note is that in some of the earlier versions of the case, the fans in the case are only 2 pin and won't work with the 3-pin connector for the fan controller! So you either have to replace the 120 mm fans it came with or wait until a supposed work around is completed (was told by Silverstone)!

I thought the little LED panel was nice to look and and you can use it to monitor CPU, HD, GPU, etc temps. But then again, most people don't have their cases at eye level so its hard to see...

Things to consider.

Go with the Sunbeam controller, it's the best out there!
