I was wondering if anyone has done a comparison of how the Swiftech 655/Danger Den D5 pump performs between the 1/2" or 3/4" barbs. My pump inlet will come from a custom reservoir and outlet will go to a custom heatercore, so I can use any size barbs on them that I want. Wondering if stepping up to the 3/4" version would make much of a difference.
Thanks!

The advantage would be slight, probably none considering that you would need more adapters and also longer tubing to make bends. Centrifugal pumps like to have their inlets "flooded", but the ultimate restriction is the inlet piece on the pump..1/2". The converse is a problem...1/4" or 3/8" tubing to a 1/2" pump inlet. Still, some testing would be nice to see.

No adapters and no longer runs. Inlet would be 3/4" from my custom res, which also has a 3/4" barb, straight line. Outlet would go directly to the inlet on my custom rad, which would have a 5/8" or 3/4" barb, probably 3/4".
