Its a start. Not sure how I am gonna make it look decent but it will be under my desk while my tower is on desk. I think with 3 120mm fans it should have enough air flow once the top is on the box.

if you have rustic furniture it should fit right in =D

why not turn the radiator around so the hoses come out of the back - that way you wont have to cut any holes in the lid - or are you planning to have your pump in there too?

prime it, sand it, paint it and it should look rather nice.

I went stainless and saved myself any asthetics and painting. http://www.honigtopf.mynetcologne.de/leftside.jpg

Is that an automotive rad, or one of those watercooling designed rads that's supposed to be passive?

Thats a Mora 2 Core from Watercool.de, it can be used passive, the fan shroud is also from watercool (originally meant to be mounted on the side of a case. While the sheer surface area and 9 fans are great for ambient water delta, the pressure drop is huge (H U G E). Prolly put in a bix/p 3 and make a second loop just for cpu, still got enough space in it :P

Its going to be painted black. I do need to figure where I can get a filter to place outside of box. Oh and pump is going to be in the box as well. Hoping it will be quiet enough for me. This is the case im using.

Dustfilter or for the Water? If for air, why not use gauze like I did?

you can get a nice charcoal pre-filter

http://filtersusa.com/

model# 38002 says it's a 2pack of 16" x 48" filter (trim to fit) ~29$.

should be enough to make ~12 (3x2) filters for something the size of a 120.3 per 2 pack, good enough for changing monthly for a year.

Heck I noticed I didnt answer your question. Its for air not water. Anyhow I got it all up and going last night only to find out my pump wont take a load of the extra hose. So I need to shorten the hose. So much for having the box under my desk until I can afford a stronger pump. My digital camera took a dump on me so I cant take pics of final box.

Is it just me or do you have an intake fan but no outake fan (or the other way around...) or is the other fan on the sidepanel that has been removed to take pic?

edit: Remember you wana get the cool are in and the warm air out not just cool air in...

The fan at the back is set to exhaust hot air :slap:
I guess his case is a lian-li, so he probably also have a blowhole at the top exhausting hot air and 2 x 80mm intake in front of HDDs.

Hers right on the money with the fans, but yall are forgetting one thing here. My video card and cpu are wc so the only thing in case creating any real heat problems is vc memory and nb. So the good thing with that is I dont need wicked case cooling. I do however need to get rid of this 120mm sunon fan so I can hear again.

Dust.... it killed my comp once, luckily o could still keep everything but the hd. Unless you want to take of the side panel every 2 weeks and spray compressed air I would suggest a minimum of 2 fans at least... Witch I see you have, just telling you why you still need them even when you have wc.

The way I look at it I will spray my case out once a week anyhow. Its not hard to do and cheap to boot. I do plan on ordering some filters for this thing and for my raddy.

Looks great CK. Just paint it black and be done with it. It looks good and serves its purpose. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in trying to make everything perfect that we forget to enjoy what we do have.

Thx chucky I agree. I just wish I could get my drivers lisc back so I can go pick up the parts I need to finish it off. Plus my dang HP camera died on me so I cant take pics of the final job which sucks for bragging LOL. I will know I will be tryin to engrave it with a dremel.

Ok I finally worked on the box a little more. Not to motivated with it since my saw blade was so bad it splintered my wood. Anyhow I am gonna paint it tomarrow poss. Just blows me away a Eheim 1048 pump wont work with 10' of hose. Heck it doesnt even have to climb vertical over 1' yet I still cant get it to prime 100%. No matter what the pump wont push thru the whole system. Gonna try again to see but I may end up getting the next pump up.
