Sorry this is in Chinese:
http://www.hkepc.com/hwdb/x800gt-4.htm
Remember those guys that hacked X300SE and X700Pros to run in crossfire, now they tried to unlock the extra 4 pipes on the new 8-piped X800GT! Although it failed which most likely due to the engineering sample?
Rivatuner detected that the X800GT is an 16 piped card but the bios disabled the extra pipes limiting to only 8..so they tried to flash the X800XT + Pro bios on the X800GT and it failed.. too bad they didn't succeed thou.
Do you guys remember the 9500 pro days? After its released it didn't take long before people figured out how to unlock the extra memory to 128bit with no problems at all! This is REALLY REALLY INTERESTING!
And if you go to the second page here:
http://www.hkepc.com/hwdb/x800gt-5.htm
the X800GT easily beats the 6600 series! Just figure what it can do with the pipes unlocked!
If the rumours are true, this card is defintely a BANG for BUCKS!
