View Full Version : Anyone try Royal Purple for coolant additive?

Well.... recently went out with my uncle, he bought some Royal Purple engine oil and their Super coolant, Purple Ice, says its just like everything else... reduces the surface tension for better heat transfer, does something with Wet Sleeve cylinder liners to reduce cavitation and erosion, and it lubricates seals in the waterpumps to reduce the chance of premature failure, but I assume this would work in the same way with waterblock seals and so on...

I remember reading a review of Waterwetter and Purple ice, waterwetter was the winner in that review becuse when purple ice was used in their testsystem there were things floating around in the tubing, like purple ice turned into plastic fragments or something like that :confused:

also doesn't do anything to prevent corrosion
