I paid 345 bucks aqbout a 6 months ago for OCZ pc3700EB , the Enhanced Bandwidth stuff that anadtech reviewed so well then here http://anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2057&p=16 I am able to run Cas 2.5 with all other timing all the way as low as they can to about 238. I was involved in that Hell-Fire Mess and am just now finally getting the computer to gether. Not that a month or so wasn't my fault, the other 8 he had it was the killer. I keep reading about these super high bandwidth Memorys coming out lately to make me giddy. My Processor will run without the Memory slowing me down to about 238FSB at Cas 2.5-2-2-4. As this computer has taken so long and I had to just buy an AGP BFG 6800GT. It ran great. Proablem is that I can hit 270FSB on air if my memory can. What I'm wondering is what kind of performance increase am I gonna gain by going with one of these super RAM's that supposedly run Cas 2 up to DDR500 and such.(Not even sure if my board can run Cas 2with P4c800-E) Droop Moded and VDIMM. U guys think I should just run around 240FSB at Cas 2.5 or 3.0(Prime Stable) @3.0V or crank her up and Run some of this new memory at 270FSB at Cas 2. I know I can sell my EB that I have used for a total of about 20 Hours for bout 220.00 on Ebay. What I'm wondering is what do you guys think would be best money/performance value. Aslo considering I am on a Budget and can't spend 800 bucks for a Gig of Ram. What you all think about which memory and if its worrh it.

Thanks Fellas, You the Best.

You have a P4 man, it cares more about RAM speed than timings. Your EB ought do 270mhz with some extra volts (3, 3.1ish) and 3-2-2 or 3-3-3 timings...

the TCCD/5 doesnt work very well with P4's so no reason to go that route.

The other option is UTT which will do 2-2-2 to 230-275 depending what sticks you buy and how good they are. For best results gets the g.skill or Muskin Redline

p4c800E doesn't like UTT !!
Old school BH5 is the best route....mushkin level 2 old school ram that is the best for p4c.

First, test out that EB. Change your timings to 3-2-2 and see how far you get, then 3-2-3, 3-3-3, etc. EB does pretty good with some volts, 3.1v or so, along with looser timings such as 3-3-3-x.
Hynix RAM and old skool BH-5 RAM do well for the Pentium 4, so that would be probably your best bet to look at if your EB doesn't do well.
