Hi,
After i've flashed a bios that MSI live update downloaded for me (using winflash) and now my MSI Neo2 Platinum doesn't boot, my screen stays off and i can't do anything.
Is there a way to revert to the previous bios or something?

How long do you think it'll take to fix?
(so that if it takes long i can take one of my other rigs and bring it back to my apart.)

There are a couple of things you can do. First is if you have a friend or someone with the same board you can do a hot flash. This involves taking the bios chip out of their board when it is running and inserting your bios chip in it. You can then flash their bios to your chip and once done switch bios again or use their bios in your board.
You can also order/buy a new already flashed bios chip. Then just put in the new bios chip and you're off and running. Always nice to have an extra bios chip when you're overclocking anyway.

You can use different boards as long as the size/type of the BIOS chip are identical. I won't lie, it's hella dangerous but not a very complicated task. I fixed a bad flash a friend had on his ASUS P4 mobo (IC7-MAX3 i think) with my NF3 250GB just fine. Once you boot up into DOS, pop out the good BIOS chip and replace it with the bad one. Be very careful of the orientation of the chip, there is a notch in one corner that must line up with the indentation in the BIOS chip slot. Once it's installed, use awardflash with the /f operators to force the flash to the bad BIOS chip. Turn off the MB and replace both BIOS chips to their respective homes and try to boot them up. If all goes well the BIOS chip with the bad flash should be working properly again. If not, try again and use /f /tiny operators this time and see if that works. I think i had to try 3 different variations to get it to work but i was successful in the end. Better than having to buy a new BIOS chip and wait for it to arrive!
