You can download a linux based rescue set that will rewrite the password.............. I don't know where it's at these days, but it's out there, a google search on linux XP password change should pull it up...
Don't mind MoP, he's a Linux fanboy :D

Hey, I might've recommended his friend try BSD, not Linux :D

Here is a link to the website, I have used this several times and works really well. Be sure to read through everything...

I second that choice as well...
I work as a tech in a smallish shop & we come across PC's that have passwords & can't contact the owner or they've come in because their PC is "locked" & they wanna get in to save their documents to reformat winBLOWS or something & we use that NT Password Recovery utility...
Works a treat I tell ya...
It's Linux based & completely kills passwords... Any user, be it Administrator or Guest can be left blank...
We charge up to $100-$150AUD to have this done for average joe's who don't know what they're doing...

Thanks for the help everyone :D
I actually got loads of solutions now (posted on a couple of forums).
@Minnyboy:
Nice! Never hurts to earn a little more, eh?
But i guess this brings up how insecure windows is, you can just basically remove any admin acct. password on any comp if you've got 20 spare mins :rolleyes:

that's fine, but what if you need the Admin password, without changing it, i.e. you're just ...curious...
