hi all, i thought to buy MCZ EL platinium PC3200 rev 2 memories but i heard that they can just go with 310-320 maximum, so i am searching for a memory which can be stable with a frequency between 325 & 350, but who is not very expensive, about 200$ would be the best.

thx ;)

If you find this mythical beast, you must tell us where it was caught....

You're talking about 2x256mb right? Cuz for $200, you're not gonna find 2x512 that can run decent timings @ those speeds....

if you're very very lucky, ballistix can do it, but at a voltage that's definitly not good for it's lifespan :stick:

DDR-2, but your motherboard doesnt support it. Maybe with something like 4-4-4-10 it may happen, not at 2.5 or 3.

not likey.

Since OCZ has released the pc4800 parts, the higher speed-binned parts go into them and and not pc3200 rev2 like they did before. It's not that they won't clock well, they'll prolly do 290-310 at decent timings, which is awesome for how cheap rev2 plat pc3200 is. I'm just saying if you're looking for 310+ you're going to have to opt for stuff that is roughly $250 like OCZ's pc4800 elite or g.skill's 4800le.

It's kind of like VX used to be. When the pc3200 was released many could do 265. Then pc4000 came along, and they did 265 or slightly better, and the pc3200 dropped in price, but it no longer used the most premium chips. It's kinda like that.
