Hey everyone, I just had to the most agrivating solder session ever. I practiced these mods on a dead p4c800-e and everything went perfectlyl. I tried the vcore using wires that were too big for the joint so i ended up removing the solder with the copper braid. after that every joint was messed up. I finaly got one after a ton of tries. Even one of the vdroop points didnt go well. That was like a realy easy point :( . Guess everyone has off days.

Well here is a pick of the area. Is there anything I should do before turning this on? Is it shorted anywhere?

Hehe.. know the feeling - practise with rock steady hands; when it comes down to the real thing hands are shaking like mad..

The soldering-job does looks a bit messy. I would look it over under a magnifier-glass once more if i where you - you might have a short on the IC.
Hard to tell, even the pic is very good. If you have a multimeter I would also recomend that you checked an re-checked the readings before you it power on.

Good luck,
best regards

Edit: my multimeter have saved my ass more than once..
