im planning on building a case out of aluminum but i dont think welding is an option for me, so i looked for something else and found this:
http://jbweld.net/products/jbweld.php

will this work and be a strong hold? i plan on moving the case around so i dont want it to be fragile

also, has anyone used this already or something similar?

thanks in advance

can you explain that some more, and do you have any alternatives that arent welding?

Nuts and bolts.
how easy is it to bend aluminum, like for corners and such?

Depends on how thick it is really. 2mm is kinda hard to bend unless you have some great tools. 1mm may be easier but in order to have a quality job you need quality tools.

Pop rivet gun and a box of aluminum pop rivets.

Rivet gun gets my vote. Can be had real cheap at harborfreight tools :)
As for bending aluminum even 2mm isn't hard... if you don't have professional tool just clamp it between 2 pieces of wood find flat surface and bend it evenly. Won't be exact 90 degree vend at edge but very close one :)

i dont think it will be wise to build your own case without the right tools...you need teh good tools to do a good job

you can get a sheet metal bending brake...

ummm, arent you supposed to bend the sides of the case in, so the front and back rivet/bolt to the sides?

I was intereste din making a custom WC box, but doing alum was my first choice but I don't wanna weld , JBweld looks yucky. and I don't wanna rivet.
So that leaves me doing acrylic since theres ahesive cement for acrylic.

^^^ Riveting is the easiest thing in the world, and all you'd have to use is 1/8" Alu rivets, the gun and a drill with a 1/8" bit :/

what about bending the aluminum? how difficult is it to be precise and what tools are needed?

if you dont wanna bend ...just use corner brackets, like an L shape. and rivet it to both sides ...it would look nice if done well, and very strong.

its just for a WC case right ...so its a simple box, so i think its do-able :D

"I think jbweld is crap"
Then you haven't used enough of it!
JB Weld can be drilled and tapped! Been there done that! Many times even!
But for glue of a case, NOT.
Use rivets and bend the sheets in a vice with wood blocks not the vice jaws.
And use another pc of wood to push on it with, stagger the holding blocks with
the side being bent to lower than other by same as sheet thickness.
good luck and keep on trying.
