Hey folks,
I have hard time choosing... a pair of Corsair PC3500 BH-5 that my friend is selling or a pair of XP4000 Redline? The extra voltage on the XP4000 is holding me back a little bit vs 2.6.
Your input will be greatly appreciated.

if your mobo have V4.0 on memory then XP4000, you can hit high HTT w/ low timings, it's great for gaming and benchies

Redlines won't shine unless you can give them at least 3.3v. The Corsair BH-5 is supposed to be some really good ram. Never had those myself but I hear good things about them. If you're voltage limited then go with the BH-5. Giving us some system specs would certainly help you get some better suggestions.

Thanks guys. I tried to put specs in my sig but they're not showing up. I have a DFI nF4 Ultra-D and Winchester 3000+. I've flipped the jumpers to have 4.0v on my mobo but for whatever reason I only see 3.2 max in my BIOS. I though that it might cause some problems. I have a Modstream PSU without adjustable rails, though.

Change the Vcore to another value and you'll see the 4V setting :D

You know what? ...I love you guys :)
BTW I noticed that Newegg is selling Redlines cheaper than other places as always... ordering right away.

Redline xp4000 won't BOOT if you don't give em atleast 3.0v :) I tested this myself.

:D UTT new BH-5 usually maxes out at 260-265. Get some 1 GIG Corsair 3200LL v1.1 "old school" BH-5 and will give it a try up to 4 volts.
Will keep U updated............. ;)

Thanks... My mobo supports up to 4.0v. I already have two pairs of Corsair BH-5 PC3500 (v1.1) but I have to let my timings loose even with 3.2v at 245MHz. Also my system will not post if I'm set to 1T. I thought these Mushkins might help with better results. I can then get rid of a gig of Corsair BH-5 if Mushkin works fine for me.

It's not the memory, it's the CPU ... it can't handle 4X512MB at 1T. You should try increasing the memory voltage not loosening the timings, BH5 likes voltage and tight timings all the way up.

My 4 x 512 Mushkin Redline HP3200 do 2-2-2-5 253Mhz @ 3.1v
CH (250HT+) goes further than my OCZ GX which is BH (240HT) up to 3.2v.

WOW... and I mean wow. I love these chips. Running at 265 2-2-2-5 3.3v! Awesome!
It's just bothersome that my system won't post at 1T even at 200MHz. Also there's a one minute delay between full system post and my Windows XP loading bar. Thoughts?

If is it the old BH-5's then get those since they are like gold vs the new stuff.
