I seem to be hitting a limit with my mobo at 175fsb. Its not my ram because I have tried running 1:1 ratio and I am quite sure this cpu will do more as it has in other mobos. I can run 175 stable but soon as I go for 176 windows greets me with a blue screen on startup with the usual jumble of sentences and numbers. I have tried cleaning that crap off the hs on the northbridge and using as3 on it but it didn't seem to help. I can tell that makes it work better though as the heatsink gets quite warm now when before it didn't. If anyone has any tips I would be grateful.

Which IT7 is it? I have no issues running all the way up to 195Mhz on mine. As I sit typing this I'm running 183Mhz. I have the original IT7-Max board.

I have a Max2 v.1 and it maxes at 170FSB... :-( I get the same thing and so do a lot of others around that same area.

It might be the CPU that is maxing out?

try c1 stepping in fx 2.26 or 2.53 (2.66)
best if you can get an unlockt ES P4

with vapochill/Prometeia I have got

IT7 1 stk
IT7 MAX2 v1 2 stk
IT7 Max2 v2 2 stk
all blue

all going over 180

some even past 185

:D :D ;)

Well it is just a regular IT7 max. The reason I think its the mobo is my other IT7 ( which is now dead) would run up to 180fsb with the same proc. It was one of the first IT7 boards out of newegg.

with IT7 MAX i can get up to 195mhz fsb with my 1600A
with new IT7 MAX2 V2.0 can get up to 190mhz with my new 2400B C1 (wiht memorya at 3:4 2-5-2-2 255mhz :p)

these 2 settings are not stable, but think it's not motherboard the limit :D :D

howether no problem with fsb limit, but notice some motherboard (abit, epox, gigabyte, msi, asus and other) with this limit... usually to get 1-2mhz of fsb over limits bye setting first FIX 37/75 (+1mhz) and after FIX 44/88 (another mhz)... but it's a chipset limit, unlucky chipset usually...
