I would like to start off by saying i have done alot of searching on the net and found this site to be a great place to start. I have done searchs here in the forums and cant really find a place to start. I am trying to do some mods to all of the first three systems in my sig. want to get the max out of them all with what i got to work with and, and also willing to do what ever it takes to get to the max! of there potential. i am a n00b here but not overclocking just very rusty havent really had a chance to do much over the last year or so until now that my job slow back down. So ready to go full force at this. If anyone would mind giving me so help here i would be greatfull. I know my equipment is somewhat old now to what most are using but i still love a challenge. If i need to list anything else about my systems or equipment let me know. I would like to thank anyone who has the time to help out...

Cut your sig down. We don't need to know your optical drives and OS :stick: Just list CPU, mobo, ram, video, clocks. No long list.

Well my advice is break out what it is you want to discuss into one topic at a time and post it in the appropriate forum, lots of knowledgeable people around.

I won't rail on you for your sig, that's already been done and the mods will ask you too so in the meantime, welcome.

I was wanting to know the best mods for this setup, and what will be the limits to it.

I think you can get more out of that chip personally, do you want to stick with air cooling? You will likely need a better CPU cooler as a place to start and be not afraid to start upping those voltages. Now that you have kind of defined what you're after, head on over to the Intel forum and and get the Intel gurus to point you in the right direction :)

Theres almost all the mods u could ask for your mobo. Like all the others said, either get better cooling or a better chip. Water cooling on your chip may bring u up to 3.6 or so I guess. Can u post a cpu-z shot?

Thanks all agin, and moddolicous let me ask you this should all the modds be done or certain ones, like which ones would surve me best.LOL i am a n00b to intel as this is my first one since i traded off an amd box. Well just the mombo and cpu. I think my ram might be a limting factor? it can go to 260 1:1 with 2.8v which is my max with out mods but not totally stable. 249 1:1 2.6v stable in prime95 for 5 hours and run memtest overnight without errors. These are KT Hyperam pc3200 and i popped off the copper hs and found them to be infineon BT-5 (2.5-3-3-8) chips i tried some dividers (3:2 and 5:4) but never really understood what way to go. I have read a bunch on this but my head is so f'ed up right now to many things trying to figure out LOL. I just cant get a starting point as to where to began the n00b in me! Ok, You mention water cooling and i would love it but would like to do it right the first time. So for me to get started off right i need to get the cooling done first? So i guess i will be doing more research on it and come up with a water cooling plan and case cooling also. Then better ram. Input as to what would be the way to go as in supplies would be apperciated. On a different note i am really wanting to go 64bit but waiting tell next year to go that route. Just trying to get a good handle on this first. I am really wanting to learn this all as i am so hooked on trying to do it, i probably got to much listed at once of things to do. If you all could be patient with me i will get better(lol) or not but goona give it a hell of a try!!!!!! Thanks.
