Welcome to the forums :D. Firstly, do you play BF2? The problem with 2GB is timings at the moment. The Corsair stuff has a Cas2 @ 200mhz but Corsair and nF4 has shownb to be a bit of a no-no for a fair few people. Look into OCZ or GeIL 1GB sticks perhaps. I would say that 2GB would be nice but I went for the cheaper 1GB option. Cost me £74 from Komplett for 2 x512mb sticks of BH5-UTT stuff. They are now running at 237mhz 2-2-2-5 1T, not bad for less than £75 but requires active cooling (120mm blowing over it). For £200, you can easily get anything. Personally, I'd go for some UTT stuff and tight timings over 2GB unless you intend to play BF2 whereby 2Gb is really necessary. You don't say which CPU. If it's an X2, get 2GB, single core, maybe 1GB unless you play BF2. Hope this helps you somewhat.

That's the expensive stuff. I've just got TwinMOS Speed Premium 3200 BH5-UTT which so far does 250mhz @ 3.28V. I haven't really pushed them yet. Have a look in the thread which has a listing of all UTT RAM and choose yours from there really. The Redline's would set you back about £170 so I didn't go for them and chose a cheaper option which in my view is just as good.

hi everyone, just read that utt means untested do's this mean that it add's no value to the memory and is only a fact of condition?
i found some geil ddr400/3200,(gow1gb3200dc) was told by djbbenn what this is ok on my board anyone tell me about it's attributes.(anyone use'in it or used it)

Hmm, not sure about that memory. What brand is that? UTT memory does just mean what you said. The Redline XP4000 UTT is actually tested but it retains its general UTT tag. UTT often clocks very well but then again it's not guaranteed and also you can get some duff chips - I have 4 sticks of UTT stuff and none of them are bad. Most RAM will work with your board, just don't use Corsair on nF4 boards. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure it's BH because CH isn't rated as high a voltage as the BH due to the fab process. The Redlines are rated up to 3.5v under warranty.

I see your point. Hmmm, weird as they are rated @ 2-2-2-X whereas CH is usually 2-3-2-X. Obviously it can do 2-2-2-X  Maybe someone with Redlines can confirm either way??

It's UTT-CH-5 because they can't run 200Mhz @ 2-2-2 with 2.6 - 2.8v... UTT BH-5 Can do....

I would go for G.Skill GH, you are virtually guaranteed 250 2-2-2-? @ 3.2-3.3V, any save about 15% or more on the redlines
