They help with dissipaing that UTT 3.4V > kinetic-energy (HEAT). The kids love-em and they snap-on for easage' of usage'.
I'll submit some temp tests in a few hours. I'll be testing the performance diference in DUAL channel as soon as I an get another, their being snatched up too fast.

I have to set-up my dam AMD system because this won't fit on DDR2. Sorry. But I kinda think it's funny that someone is actually paying attention, thank you it's nice to know someone cares.

are these the stock heatspreaders now? can you get them at newegg or only directly from mushkin? they should make meshed heatspreaders.

well it certainly looks like they have better contact than the current heatspreaders found on ram

Can I get a photo from the top, bottom and lenghtways side? Preferably with macro mode on. I want to see just how good the contact is. If the thermal pad or paste is applied proporly (AKA very thinly) and the spreader is right up against the chips the heatspreader might not be hurting the performance too much. Unfortunatly it still looks like something I would tear off. If they gave it bumps like the corsair spreader and gave it really tight contact I would think about leaving it on.
