View Full Version : 4x512 ballistix Pc4000 Marks Look ok ?

I just got my second set of ballistix in today so I decided to test them out a little and so far its 100% stable at 260 fsb 1:1 2.5-3-3-5 2T 2.8v :( But all in all I dont think the numbers are too bad. What do yall think.

yeah..1T with 4x512 is pretty much impossible..need 2x1gb to get that.

Does your Windows Properties say 2Gbs , or 1Gbs ?

Thx guys. I do wish amd would get this ram issue fixed in regaurd to the 2t but I am pretty happy with it so far. I have run some 32 meg test and I get 26m15secs. Can post screen but not really needed right now IMO.

Your still getting a lot better bandwith then I am due to 2t even with cas3. The only reason I went this route after selling my 1 gig sticks was for benching. :stick:

Run PCMark05 and compare 2x512 @ 260x11 1t and 4x512mb @ 260x11 2t and see what the difference is. Thats more of a real world comparison of actual computer performance. I wouldn't worry to much about Sandra.

Also I'm running an X2 toledo, not sure how that would affect sandra bandwidth.

When I was running 4x512mb 2t TCCD, I had a difference of around 1200mb's in sandra vs 2x512 1t so the difference looks about right.

TBH the only performance I want is for bf2 hense the 2 gigs. Since I am on 3700 SD pcmark doesnt really show well compared to intels and x2's so I dont run it. I do know I am getting great fps in bf2 so for that I am happy. I am gonna bench 3dmark01 tonight with 2 sticks to see if I can break my score of 34554 which is pretty hard to do without bh-5.

Well I tried to get the speed of this ram higher but its a no go. I would like to see if there is anyone who has got more then 260 fsb 1:1 stable with this stuff and what settings they are using. I am also unsure what is the best bios for this stuff since there has been soooo many new bios's released of late.
