Supertim0r
07-31-2005, 08:48 AM
could you tell me why your removing the info on the cpu ?
I've seen a few people doing this :confused:

If you need to RMA it AMD will check forums and not let people RMA CPUs that have been overclocked or cooled with non-stock heatsinks. They check the serial numbers. Now all they need to check is for one with them markered over.

Photoshop has some nice features apparantly.

Its not a marker, i took the photo and went in photoshop and just took a black pencil to it thats it, i still have the orignal pic of it with the serial!

And the Case is the Lian-Li PC-V1000

I would agree that that statement was what people are paranoid of. Personally I think the chances they actually to do it are best left to those with tin-foil hats on. My money's on they don't. Pulling numbers off of jpeg's or having this be someones job to search for them sounds a waste of time to me. I'll do it because everyone else does.

and benches guys benches.... funny my 3700+ and DFI look exactly like that. Whodathunkit!!! Seems you need more infection. :D Good psu I'm sure you can get cranking on the cpu without the GTX yet.

Yeah its an Enermax

heres the link! My Power Supply @ Monarch! (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=100122&Category_Code=ps-enermax) and i rather do tweak it all at once, because with my old system i had issues with going from a fx5600 to a 6800ultra, the fx5600 would crash my system at 2.1Ghz when i got my 6800ultra it allowed me to take it up to 2.2Ghz, i know it aint much but it made a different in about 100 points in cpu points!

Asetek Micro on the CPU.. This cooler is sick i`m tellin`ya

32C idle @ 1,4Volt and 1800MHz.. and that is w/o a fan blowing on it When running SuperPI 2M the highest temp was 39C (100% passive cooled)

Good for passive cooling but SP2M? Run SP2004 small FFTs for a few hours and see how hot it gets ;)

at any rate it certainly looks cool

Brokenwall, good system. Keep us updated about how it OCs

so if it doesnt say v1.1 its TCCD?

Ouchy

Yes, my impression was that the TCC5 sets came with small letters in corner saying Version 1.1. Unless they recently changed it, the lack of this sticker should indicate that it's TCCD.

I picked up my eVGA 7800GTX from monarch TODAY!! i was gonna get an ASUS but i was short on cash so here we go. This card is hot 55C idle & about 73C After benching, makes my chipset hit about 58C gonna mod some fans to blow over that region.

Scores: (didnt sumbit)

3DMark01= 26482
3DMark03= 16534
3DMark05= 7917
AquaMark= 79973 (gfx: 12618 / cpu: 10913)

hope these arent to bad for a base line with the 77.50 drivers
also no tweaks or no overclocking done just wanted to get some baseline scores with my 3700+ & 7800GTX

yes tcc5 is running at about 280-295 2,5-3-3-x settings but tccd is running 280-295... 2,5-4-3-x timing

Heres the pics of the 7800GTX and the chipset, gonna cut a hole in the side of my case and mount a 120mm fan to blow right over that chipset and the end of the card maybe that should help alot!

What do yall think?

Hey man, can I send you some pics of my rig, and get photochopped SLI too! :D

Anyways, fan always helps, but in the mean time, I think I got a few degress just removing the next pci slot cover off, fan kind of suck in a little fresh air. OK, maybe like 1 or two degrees... but... who cares!

BrokenWall
08-05-2005, 06:06 PM
thinking about mounting a 80mm or 120mm fan on the case side to blow cool outside case air onto this problem area (chipset and end of 7800) will this work?

so i scored 7917 at first in 05 i did the page file on my IDE 160GB and defragged my RAID 0 250s and i restart and run 05 again and score 7992! all stock!

This is my original post @dfi-street

The cooler keeps the chipset @ 22deg.C (running HTT/FSB 370MHz)

Yes, it`s an arctic cooling freezer 4 (not 64)
