Ok, I had my cpu at 2.6, got better cooling and i am now trying to set it to 2.7 in the bios but the software, Prime, Sandra, Everest, cpuz all think that it is still running at 2.6. I thought it was a virus but ran antivirus software and nothing. Whats wrong??? MBM 5 does detect it as a 2.7 CPU. hmmm that is strange. No clue unfortunately though. Try and bench to see if your scores compare at 2.7 to 2.6.

Run superpi @ 2.6Ghz and @ 2.7Ghz... Then we'll se if it is the same or not.

Make sure you not using some form of clockgen, I know mbm only reports the cpu speed that it starts up at.
