I sold my 3700 Sandiego, waiting on my x2 4200 from newegg. I borrowed a venice 3000+ from the shop computer. This is my first hour of testing, not bad numbers :) A $146 CPU is running as well as the $820 FX-55. With some water and a little tweaking it may run as well as the $1100 FX-57. And people ask why we OC :) DFI Lanparty nf4 SLI, 2x1024 Crucial Ballistix Tracer, eVga 7800GTX

If you get a good chip you don't need it. OTOH, you're talking a 900mhz OC here so... (been there done that w/ a 3000 that is deep in the backup list, also did not get very warm either so...)

Yeah, I've yet to use a venice that wont hit 2700mhz on air if you are willing to put 1.7v in it. Seems 95% at least do 2600mhz on stock cooling and with low volts and good temps. Probably 20% hit 2700mhz with the same. And maybe 5-10% hit 2750 there.

Woa, 1.69Vcore @ 2700 (or 2800) . My old 3200 only needed 1.55 @ 2900, spi32m stable on air. Then again it is the wr holder for a 3200+ Venice
