In real world apps, the difference is almost negligable, but won't cut it if you plan on benching.

I would have like to seen the difference between T1 and T2 on a dual channel mobo instead of a single channel 754 mobo.
nice link either way.

Interesting read. I think I'll still choose 2gb for the future.

Supposedly, the difference is even smaller on a 939 mobo because the dual channel saturates the bus and makes the difference less.

I just did some quick superpi 1M with 1t and 2t. After 3 runs I averaged the times. All of the runs were with my 3200 venice at 2630 with memory at 263 2.5-4-3-7.
1T 2T
run 1: 32.454 run 1: 33.036
run 2: 32.328 run 2: 33.062
run 3: 32.297 run 3: 33.000
avg. 32.360 avg. 33.032
average difference of .672 seconds

The [H]ard post came close to answering the big question (and maybe Dragon can help)
everyone wants 2gb for BF2 and other games, yet the tests are all on synthetics. Can anyone post benchmarks for something like
2x512mb T1 2-2-2-5
4x512mb T2 2-2-2-5
2x1024mb T1 3-3-3-8 (or 2.5-3-3-7)
those seem to be the most popular (no offence to TCCD/5) memory configs, benchmarks of BF2, HL2 and Doom 3 would be excellent.
