4x512MB showing as 1GB???????

Hmmm got 2x512MB PC3200VX + 2x512MB PC4000VX in this Ultra-D. Running BIOS 702-2. All looks well expect it seems only 1GB is detected? Now this shows up in memtest as 1024MB. That wouldnt bother me but even in task manager its showing as 1GB yet in CPU-Z you can see 2048MB. What gives? Thing is im wondering if im just gettin g 1GB performance as you can see by whats available in task manager. Any ideas if theres a better BIOS for picking up all the DIMMS?

I am ussing the 623-2 bios and 2x512 Vx and 2x512 Twinmoss SP it shows 2G every where.
At first I tried the 510-2 and it would not work with the 4 sticks,after the flash it worked (235Mhz 3.2V 2/2/2/10)

When you play BF2 you can deffently notice if you are ussing 1 ore 2 Gig.


Ps:How much V are you giving them to run @257 and with what proc?

they will run 260 1.5-2-2-5 with 3.43V. that screenie is taken with 3.2V.
its a 3700 san diego. will try that 623-2 right away.thanx.

well 623-2 BIOS and same thing. only 1GB. also BF2 runs badly, like 1GB. bah! :(

Thats weird,maybe you should switch the ram in different slots (don't know if its gonna help)

I have a 3700SD to,I haven't switched the jumper to use the 5V for the ram.
Is the pwm ic hotter now with 4 sticks? (sorry for the of topic)

no i dont find it any hotter with 4 compared to 2 and only 1C hotter with -3.2V compared with 4V line (3.2V+).
