I'm looking for a good mousepad to go with my Logitech MX1000 mouse, I use quite a bit of surface area so it has to be big. Also, not overly slippery (though I don't want to be mousing on the opposite of that either). Any suggestions?

Xtrac mouse pads
I would recommend the Xtrac Ripper if you want a lot of space
Im using this:
XTRAC RIPPER XL (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817114182)

It has a smooth cloth and its verry thin (about 2mm thick)
Ive never used metalic or glass mouse pads before, so I dont know how slipery they are, but this mouse pad is nice and smooth and the mouse slides fairly well

fUnc 1030 :) I used to have one, until I ripped it up out of boredom. Gonna buy another one when I can afford it. :/ It is very versatile, it has a side for ball mice, with lots of grip, and a smooth side for optical mice. There's practicly no friction at all. It's great for gaming, and desktop use :)

I'm looking at C4 NGen05 pads and they seem pretty cool.

May give it a try since its only $15

Check out Razer eXactmat, Steelpad S&S, func1030 for plastic/hard mats.

Or check out the new Everglide Titan for cloth mat.

You might want to check out the RatpadzGS gaming mousepad as well. It might be what you are looking for. LINK (http://ratpadz.com/index.html)
I don't have personal experience with it, but have heard others say it was a pretty good mousepad, just expensive.
