AMD GUY Needs advise!!!!!

What chips are the balls for oc'ing in the Intel camp?
I am thinking about picking up another rig, so I need to know what you guys think is the best for OC..... I cannot go to the 3.06 or the next one down.....

How bout the 2.4@ 533fsb. or 2.26@ 533...?
Anything better that starts less?
I will want to get HIGH clocks....
EDIT.... I'm seeing alot of the 2.4b talked about.. c1 stepping.
Are the steppings on the chip like the AMD chips?

Nah C1 or B0 doesn't mean much. What matters is your luck :p and usually (not always) the newer the pack date the better, and there's an urban myth that packed in Phillipines chips are terrible OCers. The best ones are either from Malay or Costa Rica.

People have got very mixed results with 2.26, 2.4 and 2.66, and most of those aren't exciting at all (no more than 3GHz). I've seen very good results with the newest 1.8A's. I recommend that instead :)

Clock higher and have a better FSB too :)

Still, with the P4, it very much depends on your luck. Unlike AMD, which are almost guaranteed to get this or that OC with a certain stepping, with P4, nah, all depends on your luck.

i think its true. the 1.8 C1 i got is Phillipines, it does 3ghz stock voltage, but no higher no matter what voltage... bah :mad:
