Hi ... at the moment i have a really strange problem wih my A64 System wich ist build up with following mainparts:
DFI NF3 Ultra-D ( Bios 627 )
2x512 A-DATA 566 (TCCD Chips ..dont know wich one exactly )
3200+ Venice wich can handle 2700-2800 Mhz @ 1.5-1.6V
First i wanted to test my Ramsticks in SC.
Both Sticks do 295 Mhz @ 2.5/3/3/6 ( Voltage i cant tell u at the moment )
But when i try to get 300 Mhz this wont fxxxxx work. Even not when i lower the timings to 3/4/4/8 and/or give them more volts.
I have three ideas for the Wall ...
1. My DFI Mofo is certanly great but cant handle 300Mhz Ramspeed
2. The Sticks just CANT do it
3. My IMC is a little bit crappy so that it cant handle 300Mhz Ramspeed.
So guys, what do U think about ?!? Whats the Wall ?

i have the same board with the same BIOS
just use a divider and get the most out of your CPU.
is DDR500 really going to kill you that much.
my venice 3000+ runs @ 2.81 24/7 with my RAM at 200mhz (2-2-2-5) and i love it. ( i get a SuperPi 32mill score of 26m 22sec with this setup)
I can get a better superPi time than alot of people that are running simular Ghz on the CPU but have higher latencies with higher RAM frequencies.
I know ther is a sweet spot where slightly higher latencies with a higher RAM speed will lower my SuperpI times but with the F*cked up BIOS on the NF3 ultra-d's i just stick to a nice divider. :stick:
i have not really found a use for the 1:1 divider YET
I like LOW latencies :toast:

I think u know that 300 Mhz 2.5/3/3/6 will perform much better then 200 2/2/2/5

I think u know that 300 Mhz 2.5/3/3/6 will perform much better then 200 2/2/2/5
it will in games and in bandwidth tests but in a 32mill super PI you wlll only get about 1 minute or so.
Not worth the work in my opinion
i saw a guy with a sandiego @2.85Ghz with his mem running @ like 260mhz 2.5-3-3-6 and he was getting 32mill superPi scores of like 29min
I got 3 minutes on the guy with a slower CPU and RAM
my main reason for not trying to push my RAM is that the BIOS in not very good and causes instability ( i know you are also running in T2 mode not T1 at those speedn on that MoBo bucause of the BIOS limitations)
just as a reference how does your comp compare with higher speed RAM with loser timings.:stick:

Öhm .. ur Wrong ! In Single Channel 1T does work fine! The Mainproblem with A-DATA DDR566 Ram is dualchannel I think. I am not the only one with exactly the same problems. SC 1T works fine to ~290 Mhz but if u stick in the second Ram u cant even get over 230 Mhz 1T stable.
Perhaps i will try out default settings. And when they arent stable i will RMA the Board to get Rev "B".

ya rev. B of this board is what is am thinking
who gives a flying F*ck if your ram works is single channel with T1 (unless you have a NF2)
tho only thing that matters is dual channel with T1 if you want performance :stick:
that is the same problem everybody is expericecing with this board T1 only goes up to ~230 than you NEED T2 if in dual channel mode
*BIOS SUCKS IS THE REAL PROBLEM* ( 7/11 IS EVEN WORSE)

Hehe i CANT even get 200 1T to boot ... random reboots never got in Windows this way. Have to set 2T otherwise i CANT boot :(
Wrote a mail to the onlineshop where i bought this Board. The RMA procedure will be very funny i think
God thx i have a P4 System here for this time :D
