Problems with Router :: Is Linksys good?

Hi guys,

I'm having a lot of troubles with my D-Link Di-704P Router, because now my brother plays BFME too, and we can't play together because the configuration only alows 1 PC on the DMZ (exposed to the internet). We had set the ports open, all of firewall configurations OFF, anti-virus off, mark the Send Delay Option, but nothing work.

I'm looking foward to buy another router, I want to know if a Linksys router will do the job without f*** firewall problems.

If anyone knows, or has one, please tell me. Which model are recommended? I have cable connection, and need 4 ports to my other PCs.

You can go DMZing and your bro can play though a feature called (i think) multiconnection (or online games). I have a D-Link DI-824VUP+ myself and I have no problems playing BF2 with 2 PCs, only one of them is DMZed. Firewall and Antivirus on local PCs have nothing to do with being or not being able to play some online game.

Hi Vlad,

Do you know where can I get this multiconnection? I looked over the 704P administration and I found none. I can put only 1 IP on the DMZ field. :(

WRT54G linksys router allows 1 ip on DMZ also
