First thank you in advance for anyone who replies or helps me. I’m stuck and don't know what’s wrong. Here is the situation. My computer recently (1 month ago) fried one of my ram sticks. I have received a replacement pair and it’s been about 1 week and im having problems again, and I don’t know how to fix it. My computer is starting to do exactly what it did the day before the ram fried; it randomly freezes and reboots especially when I game. I had voltage set at 3.3v when the ram died a month ago so I lowered it to 3.0, then 2.9v. Bios settings are I didn't change.

The hardware is:
Venice 3000+
Dfi ultra-d mobo
OCZ gold VX pc3200 512x2.

I have some pictures I took to help:

1st pic is memtest86 I ran for about 30 minutes, it keeps getting errors during test#5 (this test was run @2.9v, since the last pair fried I also got a 92mm fan blowing on them)

2nd pic, I keep getting this weird screen every time I but to hit F1 to continue saying something about using just 1 ram module, cpuz and bios detects both of my new modules though so I don’t know why I keep getting this.

The remaining pictures are of my current Bios settings. Im sure everything isn't perfect, im HOPING something I can configure in here will fix the problems with my ram. Im okay with a bit of a performance lose as long as the ram doesn’t break again.

My questions really are what wrong? Is 2.9v too low?, I don’t want these chips to fry like my last at 3.3v. Is their anything in the bios I can change to fix this? A lot of people have told me to run my ram 1:1 with CPU, but I cannot get past 2 GHz like that. So im using the 5/6 divider. Before my old ram chips fried I was running 2750 MHz 24/7. Since I have lowered voltage to CPU and lowered FSB and now am running at just 2476 MHz.

Again thanks for anyone who has any ideas or suggestions for me.

What bios are you using? What Color dimms are u using, the orange or the yellow? If you are geting that error on boot about installing memory, i bet u have an older bios and are using the yellow slots. try the orange slots. Update your bios. there has been issues with the vx memory and the dfi nf4 boards. Its refered to as the "Cold Boot" Issue. Search forums for cold boot here, DFI Streets and at Bleeding edge for info and possible fix.

310 doesnt support yellow slots for dual channel, i thought it had to be bios 316 or later to use yellow and dual channel. I would flash to 510-2FIX (06-23-2005)

Start with 3,2v if you dont want to move jumper. Tref 0648 or 1168 might do. This are me settings, bios 510-2FIX, orange slots:

FSB Bus Frequency - 250
LDT/FSB Frequency Ration - 4
CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio - 12
PCI eXpress Frequency - 100Mhz

CPU VID StartUp Value - 1.4v
CPU VID Control - 1.425v
CPU VID Special Control - Avove VID * 113%
LDT Voltage Control - 1.20v
Chip Set Voltage Control - 1.50v
DRAM Voltage Control - 3.50v

DRAM Configuration Settings:

DRAM Frequency Set - 200 (DRAM/FSB:1/01)
Command Per Clock (CPC) - Enable
CAS Latency Control (Tcl) - 2.0
RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) - 02 Bus Clocks
Min RAS# active time (Tras) - 05 Bus Clocks
Row precharge time (Trp) - 02 Bus Clocks
Row Cycle time (Trc) - 07 Bus Clocks
Row refresh cyc time (Trfc) - 16 Bus Clocks
Row to Row delay (Trrd) - 02 Bus Clocks
Write recovery time (Twr) - 02 Bus Clocks
Write to Read delay (Twtr) - 01 Bus Clocks
Read to Write delay (Trwt) - 02 Bus Clocks
Refresh Period (Tref) - 1168 Cycles
Write CAS Latency (Twcl) - Auto
DRAM Bank Interleave - Enabled

DQS Skew Control - Auto
DQS Skew Value - 0
DRAM Drive Strength - Level 8
DRAM Data Drive Strength - Level 4
Max Async Latency - Auto
Read Preamble Time - Auto
IdleCycle Limit - 16 Cycles
Dynamic Counter - Disable
R/W Queue Bypass - 16 x
Bypass Max - 07 x
32 Byte Granularity - Disable(8 Bursts)

Start with 3,2v if you dont want to move jumper.

Also I already moved the jumper I can run 3.2v with the jumper in default position? I wonder if moving it had anything to do with my last ram frying?

the dividers dont work well on the 310 bios use the 704-2 bios the dividers work perfectly but dont use over vid + 113%
