i logged on today to play some bf2, and guess what. ALL OF THE WEAPONS ARE UNLOCKED, this is for bfhq and in game. i dont know what ea did to mess this up but this is HUGE hurry and play before they fix it so you can decide what weapon you wan to unlock next

A hacker hacked into EA and unlocked all weapons for a certain range of ids. You got lucky :)

according to ea weapons may be reset, we might get to repick weapons :D

I don't have BF2 so I'm not too certain, but isn't there a server command to unlock all weapons for your server? I know certain demo servers have this option enabled. Why not go play at one of those servers and test out all the weapons?

Again, I don't have the retail version so I'm just guessing here. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. :)

lol yep... same here. i was quite enjoying myself with teh 50 caliber sniper. i sat across the airstrip of the enemies base and sniped peoples heads as soon as they entered the airplane. :D :woot:

A GROUP reminiscent of the good old fashioned type of hackers who would break into your system for the fun of it and then warn you of the security holes rather than turn your homepage into a porno site has struck at EA and the apparently insecure Battlefield 2 stats tracking system.

The game tracks players on certain official servers and racks up each kill, death and achievement to a central statistics tracking server on which players can see how they’re doing. It also unlocks more weapons for players to use as they rise through the ranks in each individual class of soldier.

This group claimed in a forum posting on Total Battlefield 2, here that:

“Well, what a wonderful few days it has been. Since EA didn't take the time to respond (or maybe even read) our emails about various stats-server security holes, it clearly showed us how much they care. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that modifying 5 million accounts wouldn't be that big of a deal.

That being said, accounts with ids from 40,000,000 to 45,000,000 now have all of their weapons unlocked.

What will be next week? Perhaps they will give everyone their Distinguished Service Medal, or maybe elevate everyone to the rank of Sergeant Major.

This game has big problems which is why I stay away. Too bad too cause it seems like a hoot.
